South Windsor’s Doosan, which bought ClearEdge Power out of bankruptcy last summer, said a South Korean utility company has agreed to purchase 13 of its fuel cells for a plant in the Seoul suburbs.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal adds to Doosan’s business relationship with Korea South East Power Co. Ltd. (KOSEP), which activated six Doosan fuel cells in May.
The 13 cells will produce 5.6 megawatts of energy and heat for the local electric grid and KOSEP customers.
The fuel cells are scheduled to go live at the end of the year. Doosan’s parent company is headquartered in South Korea, where it will have 48 active fuel cells producing 21 megawatts, by the end of the year. To Green Guide.
