South Windsor clean energy manufacturer Doosan Fuel Cell has named Sathya Motupally as the first ever chief operating officer for newly acquired company.
Motupally previously served as the company’s vice president of research, originally starting with the fuel cell maker in 2002 when it was owned by Farmington conglomerate United Technologies Corp.
A South Korean conglomerate, also called Doosan, acquired the South Windsor fuel cell manufacturing center off the auction block in July when former owner ClearEdge Power went bankrupt. The subsidiary Doosan Fuel Cell has been working to start producing 400 kilowatt fuel cell power plants again, aiming for the Asian and American markets.
Motupally holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of South Carolina. Before joining UTC, he worked at DuPont and Gillette. For full article
