Connecticut Light & Power and Yankee Gas says Waterbury residents who participated in their energy efficiency program saved an average of $250 annually. The utilities collaborated as part of Energize Connecticut by installing energy efficient products and weatherization services in Waterbury. So far, 3,445 home energy solutions, 568 HVAC upgrades, eight natural gas conversions, 90 insulation upgrades, and 5,875 energy-saving light bulbs have contributed to the program’s progress.
On average, participants who took part in efficiency programs are expected to save $250 each year.
